Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1326 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ حَلَفَ بِمِلَّةٍ غَيْرِ الْإِسْلَامِ كَاذِبًا فَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِشَيْءٍ عُذِّبَ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَعْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَقَتْلِهِ وَمَنْ رَمَى مُؤْمِنًا بِكُفْرٍ فَهُوَ كَقَتْلِهِ»
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever swears by a religion other than Islam while lying, he is as he said. Whoever kills himself with something will be punished with it in the fire of Hell. Cursing a believer is like killing him. And whoever accuses a believer of disbelief, it is like killing him."
