English Translation
Regarding the saying of Allah: {When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest}, Ibn Abbas said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was informed of his own death.' It was revealed to him: {When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest} — meaning the conquest of Makkah — 'Then seek forgiveness from your Lord and know that your appointed time has come.'
