English Translation
Bishr ibn 'Ismah, a companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him), narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The Azd are from me and I am from them. I am angry when they are angry and pleased when they are pleased." Mu'awiyah said: "He only said that about Quraysh." Bishr said: "Would I lie about the Messenger of Allah? If I were going to lie about him, I would have attributed it to my own people."
