Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12358 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ} قَالَ «مَنْ تَبِعَهُ كَانَ لَهُ رَحْمَةً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَتْبَعْهُ عُوفِيَ مِمَّا كَانَ يُبْتَلَى سَائِرُ الْأُمَمِ مِنَ الْمَسْخِ وَالْخَسْفِ وَالْقَذْفِ»
English Translation
Regarding the verse: {And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds}, he said: 'Whoever follows him, it is a mercy for him in this world and the Hereafter. And whoever does not follow him is spared from what other nations were afflicted with, such as transformation, swallowing by the earth, and being struck with stones.'
