Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12279 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْنٍ ثَابِتُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ الْهوجيُّ ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ التَّمَّارُ قَالُوا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَتِ اللَّيْلَةُ الَّتِي أُسْرِيَ بِي فِيهَا وَجَدْتُ رَائِحَةً طَيِّبَةً فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذِهِ الرَّائِحَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ يَا جِبْرِيلُ؟ قَالَ هَذِهِ رَائِحَةُ مَاشِطَةِ بِنْتِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَأَوْلَادِهَا فَقُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُهَا؟ قَالَ بَيْنَا هِيَ تَمْشُطُ بِنْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ سَقَطَ الْمُشْطُ مِنْ يَدِهَا فَقَالَتْ بِسْمِ اللهِ فَقَالَتْ بِنْتُ فِرْعَوْنَ أَبِي فَقَالَتْ لَا وَلَكِنْ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكِ وَرَبُّ أَبِيكِ اللهُ قَالَتْ وَإِنَّ لَكِ رَبًّا غَيْرَ أَبِي؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَتْ فَأُعْلِمُهُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ فَأَعْلَمَتْهُ فَدَعَا بِهَا فَقَالَ يَا فُلَانَةُ أَلَكِ رَبٌّ غَيْرِي؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكَ اللهُ فَأَمَرَ بِبَقَرَةٍ مِنْ نُحَاسٍ فَأُحْمِيَتْ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ أَوْلَادُهَا يُلْقُونَ فِيهَا وَاحِدًا وَاحِدًا فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ لِي إِلَيْكَ حَاجَةً قَالَ وَمَا هِيَ؟ قَالَتْ أُحِبُّ أَنْ تَجْمَعَ عِظَامِي وَعِظَامَ وَلَدِي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَتَدْفِنَّا جَمِيعًا قَالَ وَذَلِكَ لَكِ عَلَيْنَا فَلَمْ يَزَلْ أَوْلَادُهَا يُلْقُونَ فِي الْبَقَرَةِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى ابْنٍ لَهَا رَضِيعٍ فَكَأَنَّهَا تَقَاعَسَتْ مِنْ أَجَلِهِ فَقَالَ لَهَا يَا أُمَّهِ اقْتَحِمِي فَإِنَّ عَذَابَ الدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah ♂ said: On the night I was taken on the Night Journey, I smelled a pleasant fragrance. I said: "What is this pleasant fragrance, O Jibril?" He said: "This is the fragrance of the hairdresser of Pharaoh's daughter and her children." I said: "What is her story?" He said: "While she was combing the hair of Pharaoh's daughter, the comb fell from her hand, and she said: 'In the name of Allah.' Pharaoh's daughter said: 'My father?' She said: 'No, rather my Lord, your Lord, and the Lord of your father is Allah.' She said: 'Do you have a lord other than my father?' She said: 'Yes.' She said: 'Shall I inform him of that?' She said: 'Yes.' So she informed him, and he summoned her and said: 'O so-and-so, do you have a lord other than me?' She said: 'Yes, my Lord and your Lord is Allah.' He ordered a bronze cow to be heated, then her children were thrown into it one by one. She said: 'I have a request.' He said: 'What is it?' She said: 'I wish that you gather my bones and my children's bones in one cloth and bury us together.' He said: 'That is granted to you.' Her children continued to be thrown into the cow until they reached her nursing infant. She seemed to hesitate because of him. He said to her: 'O mother, jump in, for the punishment of this world is lighter than the punishment of the Hereafter.'"
