Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12171 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَجَدَ فِيهِ صُورَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَرْيَمَ فَقَالَ «أَمَّا هُمْ فَقَدْ عَلِمُوا أَنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ هَذَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ مُصَوَّرٌ فَمَا بَالُهُ يَسْتَقْسِمُ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ♂ entered the House (Ka'bah), he found in it an image of Ibrahim and Maryam. He said: "As for them, they have known that the angels do not enter a house that contains images. This is Ibrahim depicted - why is he shown casting lots?"
