Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11828 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقَزَّازُ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَا ثنا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُخْتَهُ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ نَذْرِ أُخْتِكَ فَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتُهْدِ بَدَنَةً»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas reported that Uqbah ibn Amir came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said that his sister had vowed to walk to the House (the Ka'bah). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed, Allah is not in need of your sister's vow. Let her ride and sacrifice a camel.'
