Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11800 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَبْدِ يُزَوِّجُهُ سَيِّدُهُ قَالَ بِيَدِ مَنِ الطَّلَاقُ؟ قَالَ «بِيَدِ مَنْ أَخَذَ بِالسَّاقِ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was asked about a slave whom his master marries off: 'In whose hand is the divorce?' He said: 'In the hand of the one who holds the leg (i.e., the husband).'
