English Translation
Ibn Abbas said: A sheep belonging to Umm al-Aswad died, and she informed the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) recited: {Say: I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood} [6:145] to the end of the verse, and said: 'You are not eating it.' So she sent for it and skinned it. Ibn Abbas said: They made its skin into a water skin; I saw it a year later. Abu al-Ahwas said 'Umm al-Aswad,' but the correct name is Sawdah.
