English Translation
Ibn Abbas said: It was said to the Prophet (peace be upon him) after he had finished from Badr: 'Go after the caravan, there is nothing standing between you and it.' Al-Abbas, who was a captive in his bonds, said: 'That is not appropriate.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) asked: 'Why?' He replied: 'Because Allah promised you one of the two groups, and He has given you what He promised you.'
