English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to have guards. His uncle Abu Talib would send men from Banu Hashim every day to guard him, until this verse was revealed: 'O Messenger, convey what has been revealed to you from your Lord' up to His saying: 'And Allah will protect you from the people.' His uncle wanted to send guards with him, but he said: 'O uncle, indeed Allah the Exalted has protected me from the jinn and mankind.'
