Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11599 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ خُوَارٍ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي ظَاهَرْتُ مِنَ امْرَأَتِي وقَرَبْتُها قَبْلَ أَنْ أُكَفِّرَ قَالَ «وَمَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ؟» قَالَ رَأَيْتُ سَاقَهَا فِي الْقَمَرِ فَأَصَبْتُهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اعْتَزِلْهَا حَتَّى تُكَفِّرَ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I made a declaration of zihar against my wife and approached her before I expiated.' He said: 'What made you do that?' He said: 'I saw her leg in the moonlight and was intimate with her.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Keep away from her until you expiate.'
