Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11584a حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ أَقْبَلَ عَلِيٌّ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَلَقِيَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْجُحْفَةِ فَقَالَ «بِمَ أَحْرَمْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ؟» قَالَ بِمِثْلِ الَّذِي أَحْرَمْتَ بِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فأَشْرَكَهُ فِي بُدْنِهِ
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that Ali came from Yemen and met the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at al-Juhfah. He asked: 'With what have you entered ihram, O Ali?' He said: 'With the same as that with which you entered ihram, O Messenger of Allah.' So he included him in his sacrificial animals.
