Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1131 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا جَدِّي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ سَخَطِ اللهِ لَا يَرَى أَنْ تَبْلُغَ مَا بَلَغَتْ فَيُكْتَبَ لَهُ سَخَطُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ رِضْوَانِ اللهِ لَا يَرَى أَنْ تَبْلُغَ مَا بَلَغَتْ فَيُكْتَبَ لَهُ رِضْوَانُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَاهٌ»
English Translation
Bilal ibn al-Harith narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A man may speak a word that displeases Allah, not thinking it would reach what it reaches, and Allah's displeasure is recorded for him until the Day of Resurrection. And a man may speak a word that pleases Allah, not thinking it would reach what it reaches, and Allah's pleasure is recorded for him until the day he meets Him."
