Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11290 [Machine] On the authority of the Prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, he said: "I am the leader of a house in the gardens of Paradise, and a house at its highest point, and a house at its lowest point, for whoever abandons argumentation even though he is in the right, and abandons lying even in jest, and improves his character for the people." حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ ثنا سُوَيْدٌ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ رَاوِيَةُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
English Translation
On the authority of the Prophet (peace be upon him), he said: 'I guarantee a house in the gardens of Paradise for whoever abandons argumentation even though he is in the right, a house at its highest point for whoever abandons lying even in jest, and a house at its lowest point for whoever improves his character for the people.'
