Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11069 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْجُعْفِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَرَى الِاسْتِثْنَاءَ وَلَوْ بَعْدَ سَنَةٍ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَيْءٍ إِنِّي فَاعِلٌ ذَلِكَ غَدًا إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللهُ وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ} يَقُولُ «إِذَا ذَكَرْتَ» فَقِيلَ لِلْأَعْمَشِ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا مِنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ اللَّيْثُ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that he used to consider the exception (saying 'in sha Allah') valid even after a year, then he recited: 'And do not say of anything: I will do that tomorrow, except that Allah should will. And remember your Lord when you forget,' meaning 'when you remember.' It was asked of al-A'mash: 'Did you hear this from Mujahid?' He said: 'Layth narrated it to me from Mujahid.'
