Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11047 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي وأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى الْأَحْمَرِ وَالْأَسْوَدِ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُرْسَلُ إِلَى خَاصَّةٍ وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ حَتَّى إِنَّ الْعَدُوَّ ليخافوني مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ شَهْرٍ أَوْ شَهْرَيْنِ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِي الْغَنَائِمُ وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِمَنْ قَبْلِي وَجُعِلَتْ لِي الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا وَقِيلَ لِي سَلْ تُعْطَهْ فادَّخَرْتُ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي فَهِي نَائِلَةٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ لِمَنْ مَاتَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: 'I have been given five things that no prophet before me was given: I was sent to all of mankind, the red and the black, while a prophet used to be sent only to his own people. I was supported by terror such that the enemy fears me from a distance of one or two months' journey. The spoils of war were made permissible for me, and they were not permissible for anyone before me. The earth was made a place of prayer and a means of purification for me. And I was told: "Ask and you shall be given," so I have stored my supplication as intercession for my ummah. It shall reach, if Allah wills, whoever dies not associating anything with Allah.'
