Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10814 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُعَتِّبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مَوْلَى بَنِي نَوْفَلٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عَبْدٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَةً تَطْلِيقَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ عُتِقَا أَيَتَزَوَّجُهَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قِيلَ عَنْ مَنْ؟ قَالَ أَفْتَى بِذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
English Translation
Abu al-Hasan, the freed slave of Banu Nawfal, said: Ibn Abbas was asked about a slave who divorced his wife twice, and then both were freed — could he marry her? He said: 'Yes.' It was asked: 'From whom (did you get this ruling)?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave this ruling.'
