Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10714 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا لِي عَهْدٌ بِأَهْلِي مُنْذُ عِفَارِ النَّخْلِ وَعِفَارُهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُؤَبَّرُ ثُمَّ تُعْفَرُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا لَا تُسْقَى بَعْدَ الْإِبَارِ فَوَجَدْتُ رَجُلًا مَعَ امْرَأَتِي وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا مُصْفَرًّا حَمْشًا سَبْطَ الشَّعْرَةِ وَالَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ خَدْلٌ إِلَى السَّوَادِ جَعْدٌ قَطَطٌ مُسْتَهٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ» ثُمَّ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَجَاءَتْ بِوَلَدٍ يُشْبِهُ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'I have not been with my wife since the time of pollinating the palm trees' — and pollinating means they would be pollinated and then left without water for forty days after pollination — 'and I found a man with my wife.' Her husband was yellowish, thin, with straight hair, while the one she was accused with was stout, dark-skinned, with curly tight hair and large buttocks. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'O Allah, make it clear, O Allah, make it clear.' Then he performed the mutual imprecation between them, and she gave birth to a child resembling the one she was accused with.
