Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10614 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْبَجَلِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا مُقَدَّمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عَمِّي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ فَوَضَعَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ طَهُورًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَنْ وَضَعَهُ؟» قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَا فَضَرَبَ عَلَى مَنْكِبِي وَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ فَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ وَعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيلَ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas reported that he was in the house of Maymunah and placed water for the Prophet (peace be upon him) for ablution. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Who placed it?" Ibn Abbas said: "I did." He struck his shoulder and said: "O Allah, grant him understanding in the religion and teach him the interpretation."
