Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10587 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خَيْثَمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ فَوَضَعْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَضُوءًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَنْ وَضَعَ هَذَا؟» فَقَالَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ وَضَعَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ عَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيلَ وَفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas said: "I was in the house of Maymunah bint al-Harith and I placed water for the Prophet (peace be upon him) to make wudu. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Who placed this?' Maymunah said: 'Abdullah placed it.' He said: 'O Allah, teach him the interpretation and grant him understanding in the religion.'"
