Arabic (Original)
نا نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:" إِذَا فُوِّضَ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ فَطَلَّقَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمَسَّ وَيَفْرِضَ فَلَيْسَ لَهَا إِلا الْمَتَاعُ".
English Translation
Ibn 'Abbas said: "If a man has been delegated authority (in marriage) and divorces before consummation and without specifying a dowry, the woman is only entitled to the consolation gift."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا:”جب مرد کو نکاح میں تصرف کا اختیار ہو، پھر بغیر ہمبستری اور مہر مقرر کیے طلاق دے تو عورت کو صرف متاع ملے گا۔“[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 2959]
