ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا سَيَّارٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّ شُرَيْحًاطَلَّقَ امْرَأَةً يُقَالُ لَهَا كُبَيْشَةُ، فَمَتَّعَهَا مَتَاعًا لَمْ يُسَمِّهِ، وَكَتَمَهَا طَلاقَهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا، فَلَمَّا أَخْبَرَهَا أَمَرَتْ بِثِيَابِهَا أَنْ تُنْقَلَ، وَخَرَجَتْ، فقال شريح:" لِذَلِكَ كَتَمْتُهَا، إِنِّي كَرِهْتُ أَنْ تَعْصِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ".
English Translation
Al-Sha'bi narrated that Shurayh divorced a wife of his named Kubayshah. He gave her a consolation gift and concealed the divorce from her until her waiting period ended. When he informed her, she ordered her belongings to be taken out and left. Shurayh said: "That is why I concealed it from her — I disliked that she should disobey Allah the Almighty."

سیدنا شریح رحمہ اللہ نے اپنی بیوی کبیشہ کو طلاق دی، متاع دیا اور طلاق کو عدت ختم ہونے تک چھپائے رکھا تاکہ وہ اللہ کی نافرمانی نہ کرے۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 2948]
