ناحَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْسَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِزَيْنَبَ، عَنْفُرَيْعَةَ بِنْتِ مَالِكٍ, أُخْتِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ , أَنَّزَوْجَهَا خَرَجَ فِي طَلَبِ أَعْلاجٍ لَهُ فَقُتِلَ بِطَرَفِ الْقَدُومِ، فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ , قَالَتْ: وَسَأَلْتُهُ النُّقْلَةَ إِلَى إِخْوَتِي. فَذَكَرَتْ حَالا مِنْ حَالِهَا , قَالَتْ: فَرَخَّصَ لِي، فَلَمَّا وَلَّيْتُ نَادَانِي:" امْكُثِي فِي بَيْتِكِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَابُ أَجَلَهُ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا".
English Translation
Furay'ah bint Malik, the sister of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with them both), narrated that her husband went out in pursuit of some runaway slaves and was killed at the edge of al-Qadum. She came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and asked permission to move to her brothers' house. The Prophet initially permitted her, but then called her back and said: "Stay in your house until the prescribed term reaches its end (four months and ten days)."

سیدہ فریعہ بنت مالک رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا کہ ان کے شوہر قتل ہو گئے، اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے انہیں فرمایا: اپنے گھر میں چار ماہ دس دن عدت پوری کرو۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 2542]
