Arabic (Original)
نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ , فِيرَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ تَطْلِيقَةً، ثُمَّ سَافَرَ، ثُمَّ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهَا بِتَطْلِيقَةٍ أُخْرَى، قَالَ:" بَيْنَهُمَا الْمِيرَاثُ مَا لَمْ تَغْتَسِلْ مِنَ الْحَيْضَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ مِنْ يَوْمِ طَلَّقَهَا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا إِذَا جَاءَهَا الْخَبَرُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ , اعْتَدَّتْ مِنْ يَوْمِ يَأتِيَهَا الْخَبَرُ، وَلا مِيرَاثَ بَيْنَهُمَا فِي الْعِدَّةِ الآخِرَةِ".
English Translation
Al-Hasan al-Basri said regarding a man who divorced his wife once, then traveled and wrote her another divorce: "Inheritance remains between them as long as she has not bathed from the third menstruation from the day he first divorced her. However, if the news reaches her after that, she observes the waiting period from the day the news reaches her, and there is no inheritance between them during the latter waiting period."
Urdu Translation
حضرت حسن بصری رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا: اگر شوہر نے بیوی کو ایک طلاق دی، پھر سفر کیا، پھر ایک اور طلاق لکھی تو جب تک بیوی تیسرے حیض سے غسل نہ کر لے وراثت باقی ہے، مگر خبر کے بعد کی عدت میں وراثت نہیں۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 2391]
