Arabic (Original)
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: رأى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حمارًا موسوم الوجه، فأنكر ذلك؟ فقال: والله لا أسمه إلا أقصى شيء من الوجه، وأمر بحماره، فكوي في جاعرتيه، فهو أول من كوى الجاعرتين. ((رواه مسلم)).((الجاعرتان)): ناحية الوركين حول الدبر.
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) said:The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw an ass which had been branded on the face. He disapproved of it. Upon this Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) said, "By Allah, I shall not brand (the animal) but on a part at a distance from the face." Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) then commanded branding on the hips; he was the first person to brand the animals on hips..
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ایک گدھا دیکھا جس کے چہرے پر داغ لگا ہوا تھا تو آپ نے اسے ناپسند فرمایا۔ (حضرت ابن عباس نے) فرمایا: واللہ! میں اسے صرف چہرے سے دور ترین جگہ پر داغ لگاؤں گا۔ اور انہوں نے اپنے گدھے کو سرین پر داغ لگوایا۔ وہ پہلے شخص تھے جنہوں نے سرین پر داغ لگایا۔ (رواہ مسلم)
