Arabic (Original)
وعن سهل بن سعد رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أتى بشراب، فشرب منه وعن يمينه غلام، وعن يساره أشياخ، فقال للغلام: "أتأذن لي أن أعطى هؤلاء.؟" فقال الغلام: لا والله ، لا أوثر بنصيبي منك أحدا، فتله رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في يده.((متفق عليه))
English Translation
Hadrat Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that a drink was brought to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he drank (some) from it. On his right was a boy and on his left were some elderly people. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to the boy, "Would you permit me to give rest of this drink to these on my left?" The boy said: "O Beloved Messenger of Allah, I would certainly not give preference to anyone in anything that might come to me from you." So he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) handed over the rest of the drink to him..
Urdu Translation
حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس مشروب لایا گیا، آپ نے پیا۔ آپ کے دائیں طرف ایک لڑکا تھا اور بائیں طرف بزرگ لوگ تھے۔ آپ نے لڑکے سے فرمایا: کیا تم مجھے اجازت دیتے ہو کہ پہلے ان بزرگوں کو دوں؟ لڑکے نے عرض کیا: اللہ کی قسم نہیں! میں اپنا حصہ آپ سے کسی کو نہیں دوں گا۔ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اسے اس کے ہاتھ میں رکھ دیا۔ (متفق علیہ)
