Arabic (Original)
وعن ابن عباس رضى الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "لا تشربوا واحداً كشرب البعير، ولكن اشربوا مثنى وثلاث، وسموا إذا أنتم شربتم،واحمدوا إذا أنتم رفعتم".((رواه الترمذي))
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Do not drink in one gulp like a camel, but in two or three (gulps). Mention the Name of Allah (i.e., say Bismillah) when you start drinking and praise Him (i.e., say Al-hamdu lillah) after you have finished (drinking).".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اونٹ کی طرح ایک سانس میں نہ پیو بلکہ دو دو اور تین تین سانسوں میں پیو۔ جب پینے لگو تو بسم اللہ کہو اور جب رکھو تو الحمد للہ کہو۔ (ترمذی)
