Arabic (Original)
وعن حذيفة وأبي ذر رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا أوى إلى فراشه قال: "باسمك اللهم أحيا وأموت" ((رواه البخاري)).
English Translation
Hadrat Hudhaifah and Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to supplicate when he went to bed at night: "Bismik-Allahumma ahya wa amut (With Your Name, O Allah, I expire and return to life).".
Urdu Translation
حضرت حذیفہ اور حضرت ابو ذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب بستر پر جاتے تو فرماتے: باسمک اللھم احیا واموت (تیرے نام سے اے اللہ! میں جیتا ہوں اور مرتا ہوں)۔ (رواہ البخاری)
