وعن جابر رضى الله عنه قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: "طعام الواحد يكفى الاثنين، وطعام الاثنين يكفى الأربعة، وطعام الأربعة يكفى الثمانية".((رواه مسلم))
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir bin Hadrat 'Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "The food of one person suffices for two, the food of two persons suffices for four persons, and the food of four persons suffices for eight persons.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو ارشاد فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ایک آدمی کا کھانا دو کو کافی ہوتا ہے، دو کا کھانا چار کو کافی ہوتا ہے اور چار کا کھانا آٹھ کو کافی ہوتا ہے۔ (مسلم)
