Arabic (Original)
وعن عثمان رضي الله عنه قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: "رباط يوم في سبيل الله خير من ألف يوم فيما سواه من المنازل" ((رواه الترمذي وقال: حديث حسن صحيح)).
English Translation
Hadrat 'Uthman (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saying: "Spending a day on the frontier in Allah's way is better than one thousand days in any other place.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو ارشاد فرماتے ہوئے سنا: اللہ کی راہ میں ایک دن کا پہرہ دینا دوسری تمام جگہوں پر ہزار دنوں سے بہتر ہے۔ (رواہ ترمذی، اور فرمایا: حدیث حسن صحیح ہے)
