Arabic (Original)
وعن أبي موسي الأشعري رضي الله عنه قال: كنا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر، فكنا إذا أشرفنا على واد هللنا وكبرنا وارتفعت أصواتنا، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم :”يا أيها الناس أربعوا عل أنفسكم فإنكم لا تدعون أصم ولا غائباً. إنه معكم ، إنه سميع قريب" ((متفق عليه)) أربعوا” بفتح الباء الموحدة أي : أرفقوا بأنفسكم.
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that we accompanied the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in a journey, and when we climbed up a height, we proclaimed aloud: "La ilaha illallah (There is no true god except Allah)" and "Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest)." The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) admonished us saying, "O people, take it easy. He Whom you are calling is not deaf or absent. He is with you (i.e., by His Knowledge), He is Hearing and He is Near.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ سفر میں تھے۔ جب کسی بلندی پر چڑھتے تو لا إلہ إلا اللہ اور اللہ اکبر بلند آواز سے کہتے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: لوگو! اپنے اوپر نرمی کرو، تم کسی بہرے یا غائب کو نہیں پکار رہے بلکہ وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہے، سننے والا اور قریب ہے۔ (متفق علیہ)
