Arabic (Original)
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “خير الصحابة أربعة وخير السرايا أربعمائة وخير الجيوش أربعة آلاف ولن يغلب اثنا عشر ألفاً عن قلة" ((رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال: حديث حسن))
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) reported:the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "The best number of companions is four; the best detachment is four hundred and the best army is four thousand; and twelve thousand men will not be defeated as a result of smallness of number.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بہترین ساتھی چار ہیں، بہترین دستہ چار سو کا ہے، بہترین لشکر چار ہزار کا ہے اور بارہ ہزار کمی کی وجہ سے مغلوب نہیں ہوں گے۔ (حضرت ابوداؤد، ترمذی)
