Arabic (Original)
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: قلت: يارسول الله إن لي جارين، فإلى أيهما أُهْدِي؟ قال: " إلى أقربهما منك بابًا" ((رواه البخاري)).
English Translation
Hadrat 'Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) reported that I said, "O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), I have two neighbours, to which of them should I send a present?" He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) replied, "To the one whose door is nearer to you".
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میرے دو پڑوسی ہیں، ان میں سے کسے ہدیہ بھیجوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان میں سے جس کا دروازہ تمہارے زیادہ قریب ہو۔
