Arabic (Original)
وعن أبي ذر رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "يا أبا ذر إذا طبخت مرقة، فأكثر ماءها، وتعاهد جيرانك" ((رواه مسلم)). وفي رواية له عن أبي ذر قال: إن خليلي صلى الله عليه وسلم أوصاني: " إذا طبخت مرقًا فأكثر ماءها، ثم انظر أهل بيت من جيرانك، فأصبهم منها بمعروف".
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded me thus, "O Hadrat Abu Dharr! Whenever you prepare a broth, put plenty of water in it, and and give some of it to your neighbours"..In another narration of Muslim, narrated Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be well pleased with him): My friend, (Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) advised me saying, "Whenever you prepare a broth, put plenty of water in it, and give some to your neighbours and then give them out of this with courtesy."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اے حضرت ابوذر! جب تم شوربا پکاؤ تو اس کا پانی زیادہ رکھو اور اپنے پڑوسیوں کا خیال رکھو۔ اور مسلم کی ایک روایت میں حضرت ابوذر فرماتے ہیں: میرے خلیل صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مجھے وصیت فرمائی: جب شوربا پکاؤ تو پانی زیادہ رکھو اور اپنے پڑوسیوں کو دیکھو اور انہیں اس میں سے معروف طریقے سے دو۔
