وعن عمرو بن شعيب، عن أبيه، عن جده رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " مروا أولادكم بالصلاة وهم أبناء سبع سنين، واضربوهم عليها، وهم أبناء عشر، وفرقوا بينهم في المضاجع" ((حديث حسن رواه أبو داود بإسناد حسن)).
English Translation
'Amr bin Shu'aib reported on his father's authority that his grandfather (may Allah be well pleased with him) said:Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Command your children to perform Salat (prayer) when they are seven years old, and beat them for (not offering) it when they are ten, and do not let (boys and girls) sleep together"..
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمرو بن شعیب اپنے والد سے اور وہ اپنے دادا رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اپنے بچوں کو سات سال کی عمر میں نماز کا حکم دو اور دس سال کی عمر میں نماز نہ پڑھنے پر مارو اور ان کے بستر الگ الگ کر دو۔
