Arabic (Original)
وعن معاذ بن أنس رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " من ترك اللباس تواضعاً لله، وهو يقدر عليه، دعاه الله يوم القيامة على رؤوس الخلائق حتى يخيره من أي حلل الإيمان شاء يلبسها".((رواه الترمذي))
English Translation
Hadrat Mu`adh bin Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Whoever gives up wearing elegant and expensive garments out of humbleness, when he can do so, Allah will call him on the Day of Resurrection, before all of creation, He will give him the choice to wear whichever garment of Iman he would like to wear." .
Urdu Translation
حضرت معاذ بن انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو شخص اللہ تعالیٰ کے لیے عاجزی سے عمدہ لباس چھوڑ دے حالانکہ وہ اسے پہن سکتا ہو، تو اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن سب مخلوق کے سامنے اسے بلائے گا اور ایمان کے لباسوں میں سے جو چاہے اسے پہنائے گا۔ (ترمذی)
