Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْتُ حَدِّثِينِي بِشَىْءٍ، كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدْعُو بِهِ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ " .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Farwah bin Nawfal (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "I asked Hadrat 'Aishah: 'Tell me of something that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] used to say in his supplication.' She said: 'The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] used to say: Allahumma, inni a'udhu bika min sharri ma 'amiltu wa min sharri ma lam a'mal ba'd (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I have done and from the evil of what I have not done)
Urdu Translation
حضرت فروہ بن نوفل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے عرض کیا: مجھے کوئی ایسی بات بتائیں جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم دعا میں فرمایا کرتے تھے۔ فرماتی ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم فرمایا کرتے تھے: "اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اپنے کیے ہوئے کاموں کے شر سے اور جو نہیں کیے ان کے شر سے"۔
