Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ سَفَرٍ وَقَدْ سَتَّرْتُ بِقِرَامٍ عَلَى سَهْوَةٍ لِي فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ فَنَزَعَهُ وَقَالَ " أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ بِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ " .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat ' Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] came from a journey, and I had hung a curtain on which there were images over a niche. He took it down and said: 'The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to match the creation of Allah
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سفر سے تشریف لائے اور میں نے ایک طاق پر تصاویر والا پردہ لٹکا رکھا تھا۔ آپ نے اسے اتارا اور ارشاد فرمایا: قیامت کے دن سب سے سخت عذاب ان لوگوں کو ہوگا جو اللہ کی تخلیق کی مشابہت بنانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں۔
