Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ حَتَّى يَفْتَرِقَا أَوْ يَكُونَ بَيْعَ خِيَارٍ " . وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ نَافِعٌ " أَوْ يَقُولَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلآخَرِ اخْتَرْ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Al-Laith from Nafi from Hadrat Ibn 'Umar who (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'The two parties to a transaction both have the choice so long as they have not separated or they have chosen to conclude the transaction.' Or perhaps Nafi said: "Or one of them has said to the other: 'Decide! (Sahih)
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بیچنے والے اور خریدنے والے دونوں کو اختیار ہے جب تک وہ جدا نہ ہوں یا بیع خیار کی ہو۔ اور شاید نافع نے کہا: یا ان میں سے ایک دوسرے سے کہے: فیصلہ کر لو!
