Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْبَيْعَةَ عَلَى أَنْ لاَ نَنُوحَ .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Umm 'Atiyyah (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) accepted our pledge that we would not wail (for the dead)
Urdu Translation
حضرت ام عطیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہم سے نوحہ نہ کرنے پر بیعت لی۔
