Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم زَكَاةَ رَمَضَانَ عَلَى الْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدِ وَالذَّكَرِ وَالأُنْثَى صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ فَعَدَلَ النَّاسُ بِهِ نِصْفَ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) enjoined Zakah of Ramadan upon the free and the slave, male and female, a Sa[1] of dates or a Sa of barley, so the people considered that equivalent to half a Sa of wheat
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے آزاد، غلام، مرد اور عورت ہر ایک پر رمضان کی زکاۃ ( صدقہ فطر ) ایک صاع کھجور یا ایک صاع جَو فرض کی ہے، پھر اس کے برابر لوگوں نے نصف صاع گیہوں کو قرار دے لیا ۱؎۔
