Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا أَطْهَرُ وَأَطْيَبُ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ " .
English Translation
It was narrated that Ibn Juraij sad:"Abu Az-Zubair told me that he heard Hadrat Jabir say: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) delivered a speech and mentioned a man among his Companions who had died. He had been buried at night and wrapped in a shroud that was not sufficient. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) reduced (them) and said that no one should be buried at night unless constrained to do that. And the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: When one of you wants to takes care of his brother, let him shroud him well
Urdu Translation
حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: تم کپڑوں میں سے سفید کپڑے پہنا کرو کیونکہ وہ پاکیزہ اور عمدہ ہوتا ہے، نیز اپنے مردوں کو ( بھی ) اسی میں کفنایا کرو ۔
