Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، - هُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ - عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، أَنَّ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ الأَزْرَقِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ مَاتَ مَيِّتٌ مِنْ آلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاجْتَمَعَ النِّسَاءُ يَبْكِينَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَامَ عُمَرُ يَنْهَاهُنَّ وَيَطْرُدُهُنَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " دَعْهُنَّ يَا عُمَرُ فَإِنَّ الْعَيْنَ دَامِعَةٌ وَالْقَلْبَ مُصَابٌ وَالْعَهْدَ قَرِيبٌ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Muhammad bin 'Amr bin 'Ata that Salamah bin Al-Azraq (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "I heard Hadrat Abu Hurairah say: 'Someone from the family of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) died, and the women gathered, weeping for him. 'Umar stood up and told them not to do that, and threw them out, but the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Let them be there, O 'Umar, for the eye weeps and the heart grieves, but soon we will join them
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے خاندان میں کسی کا وصال ہو گیا تو عورتیں اکٹھا ہوئیں ( اور ) میت پر رونے لگیں، تو عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کھڑے ہو کر انہیں روکنے اور بھگانے لگے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: عمر! انہیں چھوڑ دو کیونکہ آنکھوں میں آنسو ہے، دل غم میں ڈوبا ہوا ہے، اور موت کا وقت قریب ہے ۔
