أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَؤُلاَءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ فِي الْوَتْرِ قَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ فَإِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلاَ يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ وَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ " .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Al-Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) taught me these words in witr. He said: Say: Allahumma ihdini fiman hadayta wa 'afini fiman afayta wa tawallani fiman tawallayta wa barik li fima a'tayta, wa qini sharra ma qadayta, fa innaka taqdi wa la yuqda 'alayk, wa innahu la yadhilluman walayta, tabarakta Rabbana wa at'alayt. Wa salla Allahu ala al-Nabi Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, pardon me among those You have pardoned, turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in friendship, and bless me in what You have bestowed, and save me from the evil of what You have decreed. For verily You decree and none can influence You; and he is not humiliated whom You have befriended. Blessed are You, O Lord, and Exalted. And may Allah (SWT) send salah upon the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)
Urdu Translation
حضرت حسن بن علی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے وتر کے یہ کلمات سکھائے، آپ نے فرمایا: کہو: «اللہم اهدني فيمن هديت وبارك لي فيما أعطيت وتولني فيمن توليت وقني شر ما قضيت فإنك تقضي ولا يقضى عليك وإنه لا يذل من واليت تباركت ربنا وتعاليت وصلى اللہ على النبي محمد»۔
