أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، أَتَى نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ كَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَالَ " قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ " .
English Translation
It was narrated from Musa (upon him be peace) bin Talha, from his father, that:A man came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: "How should we send blessings upon you, O the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah?' He said: 'Say: Alahumma salli 'ala Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) wa 'ala ali Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima wa barik 'ala Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) kama barakta 'ala ali Ibrahim (upon him be peace) fil-'alamin, innaka hamidun majid (O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and upon the family of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), as You sent salah upon the family of Ibrahim, and send blessings upon Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and upon the family of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim among the nations. You are indeed Worthy of praise, Full of glory)
Urdu Translation
حضرت طلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، اور اس نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے نبی! ہم آپ پر صلاۃ ( درود ) کس طرح بھیجیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: کہو: «اللہم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما صليت على إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد وبارك على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما باركت على إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد» اے اللہ! صلاۃ ( درود ) بھیج محمد پر اور آل محمد پر ویسے ہی جیسے تو نے ابراہیم پر بھیجا ہے، بلاشبہ تو حمید و مجید یعنی لائق تعریف اور بزرگی والا ہے، اور برکتیں نازل فرما محمد اور آل محمد پر ویسے ہی جیسے تو نے ابراہیم پر نازل فرمائی ہیں، بلاشبہ تو حمید و مجید یعنی لائق تعریف اور بزرگی والا ہے ۔
