Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا كَيْفَ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ كَانَ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهَ مَدًّا .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Qatadah (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "I asked Hadrat Anas: 'How did the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) recite Quran?' He said: 'He used to elongate the sounds
Urdu Translation
قتادہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی قرأت کیسی ہوتی تھی؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: آپ اپنی آواز خوب کھینچتے تھے۔
