English Translation
Narrated Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) had nine wives, and when he (peace be upon him) took turns among them, he would come to the first wife on the ninth day. (So) it was the wives' custom to gather in whichever house the Prophet (peace be upon him) was in. One day he (peace be upon him) was in the house of Umm al-Mu'minin A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her), and Umm al-Mu'minin Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) came, and he (peace be upon him) stretched out his hand toward her. She (A'ishah) said: This is Zaynab. So he (peace be upon him) withdrew his hand, and an argument broke out between A'ishah al-Siddiqah and Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with them), until both their voices were raised, and the iqamah for prayer was called. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) passed near them and said: O Messenger of Allah! Go out to the prayer and throw dust in their mouths. The Prophet (peace be upon him) went out, and A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Now that the Prophet (peace be upon him) has finished the prayer, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) will come and be very angry with me. So when he (peace be upon him) had finished the prayer, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to her and rebuked her very harshly, and said: Do you do such a thing (i.e., shout and raise your voice before the Prophet, peace be upon him)? سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی نو بیویاں تھیں اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب ان میں باری کرتے تھے تو پہلی بیوی کے پاس نویں دن تشریف لاتے تھے (اس لئے) بیویوں کا قاعدہ تھا کہ جس گھر میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہوتے تھے اس گھر میں جمع ہو جاتی تھیں۔ ایک دن آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے گھر تھے اور ام المؤمنین زینب رضی اللہ عنہا آئیں اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کی طرف ہاتھ بڑھایا تو انہوں (عائشہ) نے عرض کی کہ یہ زینب ہیں پس تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ہاتھ کھینچ لیا اور ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ اور زینب رضی اللہ عنہما کے بیچ میں تکرار ہونے لگی، یہاں تک کہ دونوں کی آوازیں بلند ہو گئیں اور نماز کی تکبیر ہو گئی۔ سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ ان کے قریب سے گزرے تو عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! آپ نماز کو نکلئے اور ان کے منہ میں خاک ڈالئے۔ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنکلے اور ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ اب نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنماز پڑھ چکیں گے تو سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ آن کر مجھ پر ایسا ویسا خفا ہوں گے۔ پھر جب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنماز پڑھ چکے تو سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ ان کے پاس آئے اور ان کو بہت سخت سست کہا اور کہا کہ تو ایسا کرتی ہے (یعنی نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے آگے چیختی اور آواز بلند کرتی ہے)؟[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 838]
