English Translation
Narrated Judamah bint Wahb al-Asadiyyah, the sister of Ukkashah (may Allah be pleased with them): I went with some people to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) was saying: "I intended to forbid ghilah (intercourse with a nursing woman), but then I saw that the people of Rome and Persia practice ghilah and it does not harm their children." Then the Companions asked him (peace be upon him) about coitus interruptus ('azl), and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "That is the hidden infanticide (wa'd khafi)." (i.e., it is secretly burying the child alive). [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 835]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عکاشہ کی بہن سیدہ جدامہ بنت وہب اسدیہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتی ہیں کہمیں کچھ لوگوں کے ساتھ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی خدمت میں گئی، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرما رہے تھے کہ میں نے چاہا کہ غیلہ سے منع کر دوں، پھر میں نے دیکھا کہ روم اور فارس کے لوگ غیلہ کرتے ہیں اور ان کی اولاد کو ضرر نہیں ہوتا۔ پھر صحابہ نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے عزل کے متعلق پوچھا، تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ یہ”واد“خفی ہے۔ (یعنی بچے کو مخفی طور پر زندہ درگور کر دینا ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 835]
