English Translation
Narrated Abu Qaza'a: 'Abd al-Malik bin Marwan was performing the tawaf of the House of Allah, and he said, "May Allah the Exalted destroy Ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him), for he used to fabricate lies against the Mother of the Believers 'A'isha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her) and say, 'I heard her saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: O 'A'isha! If your people had not so recently left disbelief, I would have torn down the Ka'ba and added the Hijr (Hatim) to it, because your people reduced the building of the Ka'ba.'" (Hearing this,) Harith said, "O Commander of the Faithful! Do not say so, because I too have heard from the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to narrate this hadith." So 'Abd al-Malik said, "Had I heard this hadith before demolishing the Ka'ba, I would have kept the foundation of Ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) intact."
Urdu Translation
ابوقزعہ سے روایت ہے کہعبدالملک بن مروان بیت اللہ کا طواف کر رہا تھا اور اس نے کہا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ابن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کو ہلاک کرے کہ وہ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا پر جھوٹ باندھتا تھا اور کہتا تھا کہ میں نے ان کو کہتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اے عائشہ! اگر تمہاری قوم نے نیا نیا کفر نہ چھوڑا ہوتا تو میں کعبہ کو توڑ کر اس میں حجر (حطیم) کا اضافہ کر دیتا اس لئے کہ تمہاری قوم نے کعبہ کی عمارت میں کمی کر دی ہے۔ (یہ سن کر) حارث نے کہا کہ اے امیرالمؤمنین! ایسا نہ کہئے، اس لئے کہ میں نے بھی ام المؤمنین رضی اللہ عنہا سے سنا ہے کہ وہ یہ حدیث بیان کرتی تھیں تو عبدالملک نے کہا کہ اگر کعبہ گرانے سے پہلے میں یہ حدیث سنتا تو ابن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ ہی کی بنیاد کو قائم رکھتا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 772]
